Ipsy Glam Bag || March 2016

My obsession with receiving packages in the mail has been the bane of my existence ever since going away to college. I made the rookie mistake of going to a university close enough for my parents to come and visit me in lieu of sending care packages. While their presence is much appreciated, I still have to fill that materialistic void somehow. Enter: The Ipsy glam bag.

Ipsy Package March

On a whim, I signed up to receive Ipsy’s march glam bag and I figured I’d share what I got this month. The package arrived during dead week so seeing the glitzy pink package when I checked my mailbox was a nice little pick-me-up.

For $10/mo (+ free shipping), you get 4-5 deluxe samples delivered each month. You have the option to let it be a surprise or view what you’ll be getting online once the “glam bags” have been selected. Being my impatient self, I naturally had to look.

Ipsy Overview March

Regardless of it not being a surprise, I was very excited with everything that I received this month. My bag included:

  • MeMeMe blush brush ($9.90)
  • Vera Mona Lotus eye shadow single ($4.75)
  • ZapZyt benzoyl peroxide spot treatment — 0.25 oz sample ($1.66)
  • Pixi by Petra Rose gold blush duo — full size ($18)
  • Nyx Liquid Suede Lipstick — full size ($6.99)

Total value: $41.30

Amount paid: $10

Ipsy Favorite March

My favorite of the bunch was the pixi blush duo. The colors can be swirled together for a soft glow or the light champagne color can be used alone as a highlight. Truthfully, I wouldn’t have purchased the vera mona eyeshadow or blush brush on my own but the cost of the blush duo and liquid lipstick more than covers the cost of the bag so I’m rather pleased. I’m looking forward to the April bag!

Cheers, babes.
